1934 Amer. Jrnl. Obstetr. & Gynecol. 28 665 On Nov. 22, 1932, typical lymphadenectomy was performed.
1948 Southern Med. Jrnl. 41 896/1 The operative procedure was not the ‘Wertheim operation.’ It was the radical panhysterectomy with the added procedure of radical pelvic lymphadenectomy.
1961 Lancet 30 Sept. 761/2 It seemed logical..that the same dose of radiation which might be incapable of destroying cancer cells in glands on the lateral pelvic wall might be adequate to deal with isolated cells in the operative field after lymphadenectomy.
1989 Brit. Med. Jrnl. 4 Feb. 288/2 Radical hysterectomy with pelvic lymphadenectomy was the preferred treatment for stage Ib and IIa disease.
