单词 -core
释义

-corecomb. form

Primary stress is retained by the usual stressed syllable of the preceding element and vowels may be reduced accordingly, e.g. cuddle-core Brit. /ˈkʌdlkɔː/, U.S. /ˈkəd(ə)lˌkɔ(ə)r/.
Origin: Formed within English, by conversion. Etymon: English -core.
Etymology: < -core (in hardcore n. 4).Throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, -core was used prolifically in naming or characterizing musical genres or subcultures. The more established and enduring terms (grindcore, loungecore, sadcore, etc.) are treated as separate entries; some of the less common or more ephemeral forms are illustrated here.
Used as the second element in various compounds designating (usually more extreme or intense) subgenres of popular music, esp. punk, grunge, techno, and heavy metal.Like hardcore, -core was initially associated with various sub-genres of post-punk rock music, but it quickly came to be applied (sometimes humorously or ironically) to quite unrelated forms of music.
