Origin: From a proper name. Etymon: proper name Aunjetitz.
Etymology: < Aunjetitz (German Aunjetitz , Czech Únětice ), the former name of a village (now Únětice ) near Prague, in the Czech Republic, near which the type site of the Early Bronze Age Únětice culture was excavated in 1879. Compare German Aunjetitzer (adjective) of or relating to this culture (1902 or earlier, in e.g. Aunjetitzer Typus ). Compare Únětice n.
Now somewhat rare.
