An optically active tertiary alcohol, (CH3)2C:CH·CH2·CH2·C(CH3)OH·CH:CH2, found in linaloe oil and used in perfumery: the d-isomer is coriandrol n. and the l-isomer also occurs in the oils of rose, bergamot, lavender, and thyme.
