/ˈlɪnsaŋ/, U.S. /ˈlɪnˌsæŋ/ A civet-like mammal of the genus Prionodon, which includes P. pardicolor of south-east Asia and P. linsang, found in this region and Sumatra, Java, and Borneo. A related African species is the Guinea Linsang, Poiana richardsoni.
