Origin: A variant or alteration of another lexical item. Etymon: segh n.
Etymology: Misprint for segh n. in T. West Antiq. Furness (see quot. 1774), acknowledged on the errata page of the same volume and corrected in the revised edition (see quot. 1805 at segh n.); however, the erroneous form was occasionally taken up by later writers, most notably by Wordsworth.
Obsolete. rare.
