1930 Child Devel. I. 341/2 The Kohs block design test was given to 29 children in the Child Institute of Johns Hopkins University.
1941 Jrnl. Appl. Psychol. 25 420 The Kohs Block Designs test..has found extensive application in clinical psychological work.
1954 A. Anastasi Psychol. Testing x. 245 In the Kohs Block Design.., the subject is presented with a set of identical one-inch cubes, whose six sides are painted red, blue, yellow, white, yellow-and-blue, and red-and-white, respectively. Colored designs are presented on each of 17 test cards, the subject being required to reproduce each design by assembling the proper blocks.
1964 M. Critchley Developmental Dyslexia ix. 57 Constructional tasks..include the assembling of jig-saw puzzles, a game which may not be easy for some of these dyslexics. This difficulty is readily assessed by the test of Kohs' blocks, where some dyslexics fare badly.
