Etymology: < American Spanish justicialista (1947) < justicia justice n. + -al -al suffix1 + -ista -ist suffix. Compare earlier justicialist adj.As a designation for the party founded by Perón, after American Spanish Partido Justicialista, so named on account of the importance given to social justice in its policies.
