Origin: Formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: jetty n., -age suffix.
Etymology: < jett- (in jetty n.) + -age suffix, after wharfage n., cranage n., etc.
English regional (Yorkshire). Now historical and rare.
At the port of Kingston-upon-Hull: dues levied on a vessel for the use of a jetty or pier.Jettage was abolished by the Humber Conservancy Act, 1907.
