Of, relating to, or designating a political strategy which seeks to coordinate the development and implementation of policies across government departments and agencies, esp. with the aim of addressing complex social problems, such as social exclusion and poverty, in a comprehensive, integrated way. Usually in joined-up government.Associated particularly with the British Labour government elected in 1997 and re-elected in 2001.
