释义

ironheartn.

Brit. /ˈʌɪənhɑːt/, U.S. /ˈaɪ(ə)rnˌ(h)ɑrt/, New Zealand English /ˈɑeənhʌːt/
Origin: Formed within English, by compounding; modelled on a Latin lexical item. Etymons: iron n.1, heart n.

New Zealand. Now rare.
The pohutukawa, Metrosideros excelsa; (also) the hard wood of this tree.
