Origin: A borrowing from French. Etymon: French inoculiste.
Etymology: < French inoculiste (1755 or earlier) < inoculer (see inoculate v.) + -iste -ist suffix.
Now rare.
A person who performs inoculation as a protection against an infectious disease; (also) a person who advocates inoculation; = inoculator n. 2a.
