单词 innato-
释义

innato-comb. form

Stress is usually determined by a subsequent element and vowels may be reduced accordingly. Some degree of stress is usually maintained on the second syllable. If the subsequent element is an existing word, it is likely to retain its original stress pattern, e.g. innato-sessile n. Brit. /ɪˌneɪtə(ʊ)ˈsɛsʌɪl/, /ɪˌneɪtə(ʊ)ˈsɛsɪl/, U.S. /ᵻˌneɪdoʊˈsɛs(ə)l/, /ᵻˌneɪdoʊˈsɛˌsaɪl/.
used as combining form of Latin innātus innate adj., forming adjectives in which it adverbially qualifies the second element, as iˈnnato-eˈrumpent n. innate (sense 1c) and erumpent. iˌnnato-ˈfibrillose n. covered with innate or adherent fibrils. iˌnnato-ˈsessile n. innately sessile. iˌnnato-ˈsquamulose n. covered with innate or adherent minute scales.
