释义 | > as lemmashypertensin I Either of two polypeptides, of which one ( hypertensin I) is formed in the blood by the action of renin on a protein (hypertensinogen), and the other ( hypertensin II) is derived from it by the loss of two amino-acid residues, causes a rise in blood pressure, and stimulates the secretion of aldosterone; also, analogous polypeptides in animals.
