Etymology: < modern Latin homodromus, < Greek ὁμο- homo- comb. form + -δρομος running + -ous suffix. In modern French homodrome.
Running in the same direction: opposed to heterodromous.
a. Mechanics. Applied to levers of the second and third orders, in which the power and the weight move in the same direction.
