Mineralogy.

A colourless or greyish fluoride of potassium and silicon, K₂SiF₆, occurring in stalactitic concretions in the crater of Vulcano and on Vesuvius. The abstract cited in quot. 1882 consistently spells the word hieralite, although Cossa's form was -tite.
