Statistics.

A diagram consisting of a number of adjacent vertical rectangles whose area is proportional to the frequency of a variable and whose width is proportional to the class interval.Histograms are often constructed using constant class intervals, in which case the height of each rectangle is proportional to the frequency of the variable (as in a bar chart).
