Etymology: < Henrician adj. + -ism suffix.
1. The doctrines of Henry of Lausanne, an anticlerical itinerant preacher active in southern France in the first half of the 12th cent. (cf. Henrician adj. 2). Also: a movement advocating or adhering to these doctrines.

2. The ecclesiastical policy or reforms of Henry VIII of England. Cf. In 1534, the Act of Supremacy established Henry VIII as the supreme head of the Church of England and excluded the authority of the Pope.
