Church History.
A member of an early 19th cent. evangelical movement in Scotland, led by Robert and James Alexander Haldane, based on Sandemanian principles but with stricter discipline.The Haldanites were absorbed in the late 19th cent. partly into the Congregationalists (or Independents), and partly into the Scottish Baptist Church.
