释义 | hakan. Originally and chiefly New Zealand. A Maori ceremonial dance, typically involving chanting accompanied by energetic stamping and slapping of the hands against the body, and performed in a variety of contexts, e.g. as a war dance, to welcome guests, etc. Hence: a performance deriving from this, carried out by New Zealand sports teams (in later use esp. rugby teams), before a match.
