Compounds 2a.Quot. eOE shows a weak adjective gyldenmūþa golden-mouthed, eloquent, also found in use with more general reference in Old English, here reflecting use by Bede ( Metrical Life of St. Cuthbert Prol. 23) with reference to John Chrysostom.
