Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin ad referendum.
Etymology: < post-classical Latin ad referendum pending the assent of the parties involved, subject to agreement (16th cent.) < classical Latin ad (see ad- prefix) + referendum (see referendum n.).
