forgern.3

Origin: Of uncertain origin. Perhaps a variant or alteration of another lexical item. Etymon: forger n.1
Etymology: Origin uncertain. Perhaps a specific use of forger n.1 (as being an item used for the purpose of fraud). N.E.D. (1895) entered this under the headword farger, but that reading appears to reflect an editorial error.
Obsolete.
Perhaps: a kind of false dice.
