Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin anthropomorphiticus.
Etymology: < post-classical Latin anthropomorphiticus (a636 in Isidore) < anthropomorphitae (see anthropomorphite n.) + -icus -ic suffix. Compare earlier anthropomorphitical adj., and also earlier anthropomorphic adj., anthropomorphical adj., anthropomorphite adj., anthropomorphous adj.
Now rare.
Of, relating to, or characterized by anthropomorphitism.
