释义 | † animinen. Chemistry. Obsolete. A volatile organic base obtained from bone oil, later regarded as a mixture. ΚΠ 1833 Rep. 1st & 2nd Meetings Brit. Assoc. Advancem. Sci. 1831–2 526 Unverdorben..has discovered no less than four substances possessed of basic properties in animal (Dippals) oil... Animin is procured by continuing the distillation till only one twentieth part of the oil remains in the retort. 1843 T. Thomson Chem. Animal Bodies ii. 84 As long as it dissolves completely in the water, it is pure odorin, but as soon as it begins to render the water muddy, we may conclude that animin is coming over also. 1865 G.
