Etymology: < classical Latin facient-, faciēns person (or god) who does anything, use as noun of present participle of facere to do, make (see fact n.). N.E.D. (1894) gives the pronunciation as (fēi·ʃiĕnt) /ˈfeɪʃ(ɪ)ənt/.
Obsolete. rare.
A person who does something; a doer.
