Etymology: < German Anilingus (1895 or earlier) < classical Latin anus anus n. + -lingus (in cunnilingus cunnilingus n.), after German Cunnilingus (see cunnilingus n.). Compare cunnilingus n.The form anilinctus (compare classical Latin linctus licking: see linctus n.) is also occasionally attested from the mid 20th cent. The form analingus probably reflects association with anal adj.

Sexual activity in which a partner's anus is stimulated with the mouth or tongue. Cf. rimming n.²
