In later use: spec. the common Eurasian stonecrop Hylotelephium telephium, with flattened fleshy leaves and corymbs of dull purplish flowers (also called livelong); (also) (in full lesser orpine or evergreen orpine) H. anacampseros, native to southern Europe.stone orpine: see stone n.
