Compare German Allylamin (1856 in an abstract of Cahours's and Hofmann's French paper), also †Aethylallylamin (1853 or earlier).Cahours and Hofmann earlier used French acrylamine to denote the substance ( Compt. rend. hebd. de l'Acad. des Sci. (1856) 42 221).
