Etymology: < Dub- (in the name of Dublin: see Dublin n.) + the plural ending -s.

the Dubs: a nickname given to the soldiers of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers.The Royal Dublin Fusiliers (1899–1922) were an infantry regiment of the British Army which recruited in the east of Ireland.
