Origin: A variant or alteration of another lexical item. Etymon: don't know how much.
Etymology: Representing a contracted regional or colloquial pronunciation of don't know how much (short for I don't know how much ). Compare earlier dunno v. and also dunnamany adj.
English regional (southern, esp. Sussex). Now somewhat rare.

Used to represent the words (I) don't know how much as said in informal conversation, in cases where how much has adverbial or adjectival function. Cf. dunnamany adj., much adj. 4, much adv. 2.
