单词 | dourlach |
释义 | † dourlachn. Scottish. Obsolete. A short sword; a dagger. The sense apparently arises from Scott's misunderstanding of dorlach n. 1 in a description of the heraldic arms of Lord Reay (compare quot. 1722 at dorlach n. 1, which describes the supporters of a device which, like Lord Reay's, has daggers in its field).Quot. 1899 is probably influenced by Scott.
