1979 Pain 6 250 Allodynia, pain due to a non-noxious stimulus to normal skin. Note: This is a new term which is intended to refer to the situation where otherwise normal tissues which may have abnormal innervation or may be referral sites for other loci give rise to pain on stimulation by non-noxious means.
