Etymology: < classical Latin disconvenient-, disconveniēns incongruous, in post-classical Latin also annoying, bothersome (1441 in the passage translated in quot. a1475), use as adjective of present participle of disconvenīre to be different, to be inconsistent < dis- dis- prefix + convenīre to agree, suit (see convenient adj.). Compare Anglo-Norman desconvenient , disconvenient (a1321 or earlier). Compare inconvenient adj.
