Etymology: < post-classical Latin discarnatus discarnate adj. + -ed suffix2. Originally after Spanish descarnado discarnate adj. In later use (especially in the theological context of quot. 1727, where the Latin original does not use discarnatus) after incarnated adj. at incarnate v. Derivatives.
Now rare.
Deprived of flesh or of bodily form; disembodied. Cf. discarnate adj.
