Etymology: < post-classical Latin discoriatus, past participle of discoriare to flay, skin (4th cent.) < classical Latin dis- dis- prefix + corium skin, hide (see corium n.); compare earlier post-classical Latin decoriare to skin (Vetus Latina, Vulgate, early 3rd cent. in Tertullian).
Obsolete. rare.
Flayed, stripped of skin. Only as past participle.
