attributive and in other combinations, as diphenyl group, diphenyl ketone, diphenyl-methane, etc. diphenylamine orange, a dye. diˈphenylaˌmine, a crystalline substance having a pleasant odour and weakly basic properties, prepared by the dry distillation of rosaniline blue, and used in the preparation of various dye-stuffs; hence diphenylamine blue = spirit blue.
