Etymology: < Russian -skiĭ adjectival suffix, jocularly taken in English as an essential characteristic of Russian words (probably after Russki n. and adj.), especially attached to nouns.

A suffix appended to a word or phrase in humorous imitation of Russian. Cf. buttinsky n.
