Apart from the fact that this word is a more than usual inelegant barbarism, it also betrays a fundamental misunderstanding of Bultmann's intention. If ‘demything’ meant anything, it would mean, ‘the elimination of myth’... ‘Demythologizing’ means ‘the elimination of mythology’, and this is not the same as the elimination of myth.
