释义 | decahydronaphthalenen. Chemistry. A colourless liquid, C10H18, much used in the paint industry as a solvent, with a molecular structure consisting of two fused saturated rings; cf. Decalin n. ΚΠ 1877 Jrnl. Chem. Soc. ii. 899 Tetrahydroisoxylene absorbs oxygen, while hexhydroisoxylene, like decahydronaphthalene, may be kept without alteration in the air or in oxygen. 1904 Jrnl. Chem. Soc. 86 i. 987 Decahydronaphthalene, C10H18, obtained by hydrogenating tetrahydronaphthalene at 175°, is a colourless liquid with an odour of menthol. 1920 Chem. Abstr. 14 1751 The hydrogenation of naphthalene, converting this ring compd. into dekahydronaphthalene, C10H18. 1964 N. G. Clark Mod. Org. Chem. xix. 391 At 200° catalytic hydrogenation over nickel yields tetrahydronaphthalene (‘tetralin’), while at 250°, decahydronaphthalene (‘decalin’) results.
