Etymology: < delectable adj. + -ity suffix (see -bility suffix), perhaps after Middle French delectableté quality of being delectable, delectable things (both late 14th cent.). Compare earlier delightability n.Compare post-classical Latin delectabilitas (12th cent.; from 13th cent. in British sources).
