1958 C. Frondel in Bull. U.S. Geol. Surv. No. 1064. 95 Curite is a secondary mineral formed with other hydrated uranyl or lead-uranyl oxides by the alteration of uraninite. The lead of the mineral seems to be radiogenic and derived from the uraninite.
