crioceratite n. [after scientific Latin Crioceratites, genus name (C. Léveillé 1837)] Obsolete the fossil shell of an ammonite of the Cretaceous genus Crioceratites (formerly Crioceras), the whorls of which form an open spiral resembling a ram's horn; cf. ram's horn n. 3c.
