单词 consider
释义

considerv.

Brit. /kənˈsɪdə/, U.S. /kənˈsɪdər/
Forms: Also Middle English -sidere, Middle English–1500s -syder, -sydre, Middle English -sydyr, -sydure, -ceder, -cidre, Middle English–1500s -seder, -sidre, 1500s (Scottish) -sydder.
Etymology: < French considérer (14th cent. in Littré), < Latin consīderāre to look at closely, examine, contemplate, < con- + a radical (found also in desīderāre to miss, desire), according to Festus, derived < sīdus, sīder- star, constellation. The verb might thus be originally a term of astrology or augury, but such a use is not known in the Latin writers.
