Etymology: < cock n.8 + bead n. (compare sense 5 at that entry).
Chiefly Cabinetmaking.
A narrow bead moulding (see bead n. 5b) which projects beyond a surface or (less commonly) is made to stand out from it by a quirk (quirk n.1 9); esp. a wooden moulding of this type applied around the edges of features such as drawer fronts, doors, etc., or their surrounding frames.
