单词 coal-perch
释义

coal-perchn.

Forms: 1600s cole pearch.

Etymology: Apparently < Kaul- (in German Kaulbarsch ruffe: see note) + perch n.2, with remodelling of the first element, probably after coal n. Obsolete. rare.
A small freshwater fish, the ruffe, Gymnocephalus cernuus.
