Origin: Of uncertain origin. Perhaps an imitative or expressive formation.
Etymology: Origin uncertain; perhaps imitative of the perceived sound of a particular accent.It has also been suggested that the word derives from an expression of disgust said to be commonly directed towards these people (compare Hindi chī-chī chhi-chhi int.).
Indian English (derogatory and offensive). Now historical and rare.
