The path described by the instantaneous centre of rotation of a body moving in a plane. space centrode n. the path described by the instantaneous centre of rotation relative to a fixed plane; also called fixed centrode. body centrode n. the path described by the instantaneous centre of rotation relative to the motion of the body; also called moving centrode.
