He called for the board to consult all shareholders on paying a special dividend of €110 million (95.6 million) and on pension fund contributions.

The food manufacturer said future fund contributions would fall by 100 million as it reported a 1.8 per cent fall in underlying sales in the first half.

The individual insurance for each site was increased to $300 million while fund contributions per reactor were increased to $95.8 million.

The balance of the properties were enrolled by current or former owners, who donated the deed restrictions to the organization along with endowment fund contributions.
