In 2011, the prize money was split into $80,000 for each category winner and $5,000 for up to four short-listed entries.

The highest scoring entry in each category wins gold, on condition that the work surpasses a minimum score that qualifies it as a category winner.

Category winners then face the new round that reduces five to three.

Finalists make a presentation to a panel of judges, which chooses overall and category winners.
